Werner Sherpa Glass Straight Paddle with narrow paddle shaft

Season:2018

Brand:Werner

Code:SHERGLASTRSMAL

The Werner Sherpa is the little brother to the Werner Powerhouse. its an exceptionally smooth and responsive river running design

This particular version of the Werner Sherpa comes with a smaller paddle shaft and may be better suited to smaller paddlers and some female paddler.

The mid-size blades are the best choice for those looking for lightweight and durable paddle. The blades are evenly balanced to create a clean catch that is powerful and smooth throughout the entire stroke.

- The Sherpa's mid-size blades are great all around river runners.

- Best choice for durability and light weight.

- Balanced blade design is smooth and powerful from catch to release.

A Premium Fiberglass Paddle Blade Construction

The Werner Sherpa paddle blades made of Premium Fiberglass - Originally developed in the 70's and perfected for decades. Werner's Premium fiberglass blades in HD Graphics or Translucent colors look unlike any other. A true work of art, the perfection in hand craftsmanship can be seen by holding the blades up to the light. These full fiberglass blades provide light swing weight and stiffness for our mid-price point.

A Paddle Blade shape perfected for River Running

With a more pronounced tip and more surface area above the center of the blade, this design is optimized for a better forward stroke. So for the core elements of river running, pulling yourself through or over holes and drops, breaking in and out of current and ferrying across current, these blades are your best choice. Some of the best white water boaters in the world believe in Werner's designs. Werner's white water designs have a slight dihedral for smooth vertical maneuvering strokes. Note Werner also flatten the back face spine to aid in these strokes.

A Paddle Shaft designed for White Water Kayaking

The Werner Sherpa is renowned for its reliability. The paddles and their shafts are handcrafted in Sultan WA, USA. These paddle shafts offer a great combination of strength, flex and light weight.

These shafts are built for the rigors of the whitewater environment, Werner's fiberglass shafts offer paddlers a great, robust paddle!

This version of the Werner Sherpa comes with the the smaller/narrower paddle shaft, which may be better suited to smaller paddlers.

Who is this paddle suitable for?

The Werner Sherpa is a paddle that offers Premium Performance, which can give you the right combination of light weight, stiffness and durability. Swing weight equates to the effort it takes to move your paddle through out the stroke, and with Werner's Premium line it is not much. Stiffness is a key element in blade performance, allowing for more efficiency as the blade fixes less under the load of moving you and your boat. Choose between fiberglass or carbon construction. Carbon gives you the lightest swing weight option and matches the strength, impact and wear resistance of fiberglass with a stealth black carbon look. Fiberglass is a great compromise for those looking for a better value. You still get identical strength and impact and wear resistance. Also, a variety of bright color options with a handcrafted translucent look. Werner's shaft uses a carbon blend to combine light weight and strength. Werner also spend a lot of time testing flex. With each stroke you’ll feel just the perfect about of flex, making the paddle softer on your joints.

These paddles are not only ideal for the seasoned kayaker but are also ideal for the amateur kayaker who is looking for a set of paddles to help them progress with their skills.
